What I do now is mosaic, mostly hand-cut fused glass, cracked porcelain, stone off-cuts, shaped into flowing, organic forms. I cut, grind, grout, install-sometimes on site, sometimes overnight.
For my friends at Vert Garden in Iasi, I painted on polycarbonate so it lights up like stained glass at sunset. A villa in the south got an oversized vase that looks born for palms. Ray and Dave flew me to California for a bathroom that glows like a greenhouse.
Each piece starts with a sketch, ends with color that moves when you walk past.
I’m from Iasi, Romania. High school and art university here, then eight years in France, two art schools, big canvases, sharp light. Came back, taught visual arts eight years, opened this studio and let walls start breathing. I travel when the job calls. Otherwise, hands in glass, ear to the wall-making spaces remember they were always beautiful.
